Parent tag not printing?

Type: Forum Post
By: Tom Rawlings on 2.22.12 in Activity Management

I'm just at the testing stage right now, but I'm printing off check-in labels on a GX420d. I can print the child's label, but no parent label prints. Is there something I'm supposed to configure? I thought a parent tag printed with the child's tag.

Hi Tom,

You need to configure the Activity to print the Parent Tag.  See this screen shot: http://screencast.com/t/SpmUSvly

Also - the parent tag will only print one time for security reasons.  Should you need a new parent tag, you'll need to check-out the children from the activity, check them back in, give the parent the new tag and then also place the new name tags on the children so that parent and child both have matching security codes.

Hope that helps!

Scott

Thanks Scott. I do have it configured to print the parent tag in the activity. I just realized today that it will print the parent tag for the same activity but a different schedule. For instance, if I check in a child for the Children's Service at 9 AM, the parent tag doesn't print - only the child's tag prints. However, if I check in the same child (or a different one) for the Children's Service at 11 AM, both tags will print. I'm thinking that I just need to delete the Children's Service altogether and just re-create it.
