Follow-up on old Contacts that have not been closed

I am new to the role of F1 Champion and I am trying to clean things up.

When I run report M14010 v2.1 Contact Card Report. I find that we have a lot of old contact cards (approx. 100+) that have not be closed, 99% have the status “in progress”.

How can I on mass prompt users to close their old contacts?

How do I on mass reassign contacts that belong to a staff member that has left the church?

Ian- I remember it having this option because of the multi-close option for the Contact Item. But I does not seem to be working. I would suggest submitting a trouble ticket for this item and mention that other churches are having the same issue.

To close out old contact items you can set the option for multiple close under the admin contact setup manage items menu. Then under ministry my contacts you can choose the contact item and click search. The mass close feature only shows up when you filter on a contact item. The note you enter is a pop up window and may be blocked by your browser settings. You can also transfer all contacts from one staff member to another without having to open each contact first.
