Jason, underneath the report description you will occasionally see a little painting icon with the words 'view sample image' next to it; clicking that will show you what the report will look like when it is run. I poked around a little bit and noticed that it only seems to be present on about 10% of the reports out there; this low number is due to the pace of reporting development and change.I will speak with the person who is in charge of reporting and see if we can't get a renewed effort on these... at least for the _CoreReports and _TopReports.

As far as the tags go, I know there is some enhancement conversation around that right now. As a stop gap there are several output types already in the tag cloud; you should see temporary group, pdf, labels, grid, etc.
