It would also be nice if the groups were presented in a scrolling list (rather than having to page through them, 20 at a time), and if groups could be organized hierarchically, with the ability to set permissions set at the "folder" level.
Show all Group Types in main Groups menu
To view a particular group, it's always seemed overly convoluted to have to:
- First click the "Groups" in the menu bar.
- Then select "View All" from the "Groups by Group Type" menu item.
- Then click on the desired group type tab from the "All Groups" screen.
- Then find and click on the group you're interested in (which might involve several more clicks to advance to the page it's on).
It would also be nice if the groups were presented in a scrolling list (rather than having to page through them, 20 at a time), and if groups could be organized hierarchically, with the ability to set permissions set at the "folder" level.

It would speed up the process of managing people lists to be able to select group type as Amar has suggested. I would be very happy if a hyperlink to each group type was placed under "view all"
I agree, and I commented something to this effect the same day it was rolled out new.
We are considering using Infellowship for our small groups. I am currently evaluating the features of Infellowship for small group management.
Is there a way to RESTRICT the groups that show up on the "Find A Group" page? As it is now, ALL group types appear in the search results. We would like to limit the results to our "Adult Small Group" type.
David - there is a way to limit the results by unchecking the box: this group is searchable under the edit group details area of each group.
A Group Type can be set up so that all groups created using that particular group type are unsearchable. This is done under Properties when setting up the group type.
I agree with amar's suggestion!!
I've found one way around this until F1 ads this to their Groups Menu...
Edit the Admin > Church News and Announcements page and create hyperlinks to whatever "Groups Search Results Page" that gets used commonly. I've set up our one to look like this:
Shortcut links:
All Group types, 2012 AM G.Groups, 2012 PM G.Groups, 2012 UC G.Groups,
Kids Ministry Classes and Teams, Youth Ministry Classes and Teams
All People Lists, All Temporary Lists
