Fellowship One Check-in Updates Released
The following enhancements and issue corrections have been released for Fellowship One Check-in. Please have a Fellowship One administrator install the update as soon as possible as it may take several minutes to complete.
Enhancements
Print Tags using Self Check-in
When using Check-in in Self mode, users now have the ability to print multiple name and item tags. When selecting the Self mode, new options appear allowing you to determine whether or not to print multiple name and item tags.
NOTE: The term Asset Tag has been changed to Item Tag.

Individuals may select to print up to 5 item tags as shown below:

Support for Windows 7
The upcoming version of Check-in is fully compatible with the Windows 7 operating system.
Rapid Check-in for Super Check-in
You may now enable rapid check-in when using a Super Check-in code in the upcoming release. As shown below, once the Enable Rapid option has been selected, a new option called Best Fit appears in the schedule choices. Best Fit allows Check-in to choose the best attendance option for the individual who is checking in. This option will select the most appropriate room/location based on assignments or age restrictions.

Sticky Options
This release includes sticky option buttons. When you have selected your preferred options, Check-in will remember them every time you start the application.
Self Check-in for Visitors
Self Check-in has been corrected to allow visitors to check-in to activities that are not age appropriate for the regular household members. For example, grandchildren who visit will be allowed to use Self Check-in to attend a children's activity.
Support for International Date Formats
Fellowship One clients in Australia and other European countries will now have support for entering birth dates in the international date format (DD/MM/YYYY).
Breakout Group Name Correction
Breakout group names will no longer line break incorrectly on the printed name tag.

I am very excited about the new items tag option, Thank you!!! 5 additional tags??? Wish we could set a max for that ourselves and not give each person an option. The option to print a 2nd nametag is also nice.
We implemented self check in last August and it is wonderful, the only draw back was the inability to print asset (item) tags. Appreciate the upgrade!
We are shouting, "Praise the Lord and Fellowship One Developers!!!" Thank you for making "asset tags" possible in self check-in!! And we love that you are calling them "item tags" Perfect!!!!!! Our Nursery, Preschool staff and parents are thrilled. Thanks you!!!!!!!!!!!
Will the "best fit" option be available for assisted check-in of super groups?
@jbass - Thanks for the feedback. We'll consider this for a future enhancement.
@lcorbitt - The "best fit" option will be available for assisted check-in for Super Check-in. I think you're referring to Super Check-in.

Will this be available exactly on March 1st? In other words, there's no way this is going to try to load at any time on Sunday, Feb 28th, is it?
We will be releasing this LATE Sunday night/EARLY Monday morning. It will be released into production at 12am CST. We will definitely not be impacting Check-in usage on Sunday.

Thanks Mark!
The Check-in release has been delayed due to some unforeseen technical difficulties. We will update you as soon as a new release date has been determined.
Why do people need to print more than one name tag when they are checking in?
@ddoell some churches want a 2nd name tag to use for an in room roster; one name tag goes on the shirt, the other hits a blank sheet of paper. That way if little Billy gets checked in, throws up before he hits the classroom and is taken home, the classroom leader doesn't need to account for him in a fire drill.
Is there a way to set assisted check in to always print two nametags to be used for an in room roster? Or do you just have to click print tags a second time?
Hey...Great improvements!! I am with KristinC....I would LOVE for Assisted Check In to have a default, print two (or more) nametag option! Using the "Quick COmplete" would be a real time saver....self check in is just not in our budget at this time.
Love the idea of two tags..one for parent, one for the room.
Is there any idea of what the time frame will be for the release? Days, weeks, months, longer? I just would like to have an idea. Thanks!
@lsanchez the new release date is set for late night March 21st.
@kristinc only self check-in will automatically print two name tags; good idea though.
Thank You F1 Team!!
Thanks for thinking of the rest of the world in regard to dates.
@neil.nuttall yeah, ya' know we heard rumors that this church thing was global... figured we better get on that band wagon ;)
how long will the update be? at the moment i have it running and it is now about an hour since the update started. Is that normal? Thanks
Anybody had issues this weekend using the new check-in? All check-ins failed for us and would freeze.
We had lots of problems with the installation. :( Finally we got it and it worked fine in time for our weekend services.
We had very slow check-in and lots of freezing up and failing to print, especially during our busiest service. It was printing maybe one family out of every four or five at 10am... I really hope it's fixed by Easter weekend!!
After installing the updates Wednesday, AWANA check-in failed with problems on all stations locking up. All test for connectivity were good but Sunday check-in also failed. Today, our test check-in works but still not flawlessly.
We had lots of problems with check-in all weekend. Our IT department checked everything and couldn't find the problem. Will this issue be fixed soon?
Thanks!
Karen
It looks like the changes that were made last week could impact your check-in situation if you are using any sort of content filtering or blocking certain ports that we are trying to access. We will be posting an FT Announcement today regarding this, but in the mean time check out answer id 312; here's a video that shows you how to do that: http://screencast.com/t/ODU1Njg5Z
We had a unique situation at CBC with our Check-in not working. Fellowship Technologies has continued to support us through the process and we were able to find a lone ranger check-in that was using the old software. My advice to all:
UPDATE EVERY check-in computer and contact support if you have any issues.
Thanks Fellowship Tech to continuing to look at logs and help us through the issues and try to get to the bottom of this. If any other churches have had issues and haven't said anything, please let the support staff know so that they can help us all out. If everyone else is working fine, praise the Lord!!
I noticed that check-in is now compatible with Windows 7. I just bought a new touch screen with Windows 7 and I cant get check-in to run. I noticed this on another post here. I click on it and it gets stuck on the Updating. Any help? (Ive been in the Mac world for 3 years so it may be an easy fix)
Eric,
Check-in does indeed work with Windows 7. For help with this check out two Answer IDs in our online Knowledgebase. From the support link in Fellowship One search for Answer ID 312 and Answer ID 516.
If those don't help just give us a call on our support line 866.383.2437.
If you're looking for where to download and install check-in go here: http://bit.ly/F1Checkin
Does Best Fit work with time as well? If we have multiple services, will best fit switch to the service that is closest to the real time? I know it will help children go into the right class based on age, but it would be great if it auto switched from our 9:45 to 11:30 based on the time.
